New Paragon Elite Suggestion
Alright guys, take it easy on me since I don't really post over here any, but I had a thought today at work and I wanted to share it and see what you guys thought. So in the break room at work I see "The Karate Kid" on, and I'm always thinking about Guild Wars, so put two and two together and....
"Sweep the Leg!"
Elite Shout
Linked to Command
15 Energy (or 9 Adrenaline maybe), 15 Recharge
For 5 seconds, the next attack by all party members in earshot have a (10...32...38)% chance to cause knockdown.
So at 16 Command it would be 40%. I haven't done PvP since Paragon came out but I put the energy and percentages to what I think might be fair for PvP usage. A 13 attribute would be just over a 1/3 chance to knockdown. Plus, devs seem to love random pop culture quotes for these shouts.
Flame away, or suggestions to make it better?
First edit: I thought about lower energy/higher percentages, but I figured 10 energy was too little and potential for 50% or higher knockdown from an entire party would just rape in PvP. Agreed that in this form I probably wouldn't use it though, that's why I threw it here for more input for workability

Just saying, but i would not use this.
1. Too high Energy and Adrenaline
2. Chances of KD are against you
3. Little longer recharge
Besides that i like the idea of you putting ideas into GW from other things. So A+ on effort. B- on overall skill.

at the higher cost I would make it, next time ally crit hits its results in KD. and maybe raise the recharge (maybe)

How does my answer have anything to do with watching Karate Kid. I'm just saying that it is nice to be able to get ideas from different places so it isn't just another skill, but it has some background.

gw does actually use a lot of pop culture references...
so teh idea of it could fit rite in
tho, 'wax on, wax off' would be a cooler skill to use ^__^;
but in terms of the actual skill effect...
needs adjusting
or it'll become jus another one of the 47 or so para elites that arent used -__-'

I know they use a lot of pop culture references.
"Wax on, Wax off" would be a much funnier skill.
It does need some adjusting to make to more useful, but not a godly skill.

I would make it target an ally, change the % to "if using blunt weapon", 10 energy, 15 second cooldown

I find that i bad idea because only hammers and 1 sword can deal blunt damage, and chances are that if you are using a hammer you are going to have a KD attack on your skill bar.
P.S. Also almost no one uses hammers in the first place.

I like where legion_rat is going with this. So how about...
15 Energy, 25 Recharge
For 10 seconds, the next critical hit by all party members in earshot causes knockdown.
Even that seems like it could be too strong with "GftE" though, especially since they work from two different mana reserves.
